Team Mexico: Mission to the Mayans Trip 2026

Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Temple Church's Team Mexico: Mission to the Mayans 2026 is planning to continue a partnership which began in 2009 with Global Community Fellowship Church in Paamul, Mexico and Mu'uch Taanbal Church in Chan Chen Primero, Quintano Roo, Mexico. The specific dates have not been set but will most likely be in mid-February.  Also, please understand that the $2000.00 cost is an estimate and may increase due to airline, insurance and ground costs.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us in doing this work of our Lord’s.  You can do this in three ways.  First and foremost, please keep the team in your prayers.  Below is a list of specific prayer requests you can lift up to God:

• For our preparation, both physically and spiritually.  We always feel the effects of increased spiritual warfare when planning a mission trip, but we have learned to put absolute trust in our God, Who is ‘greater in us, than he who is in the world.’
• For the health of the team members while we are gone.
• For safe travel during the trip and that our luggage will arrive when we do
• For our families’ safety and well-being while we are gone
• For God’s leading during our planning and while we are there and that we will listen to His directions
• That God will bridge the language divide through His love shining through us
• For those we will be ministering to, that God will move in their hearts and that they will be open to His Word
• That we will seek to give God the glory in and for all we do

The second way you can partner with us is to GO!  We'd love to answer any questions you may have about this trip that aren't answered on our mission page. 

And, the third avenue to help is financially.  Any amount given will be tax deductible. Giving to the work of the Lord ‘in the uttermost parts’ is as important as going.  You may give by cash, checks made to Temple Church with “Mexico” in the memo, or by online donations here. If you would like to earmark your online donation to a specific need, i.e., building church/school facility, food for the villagers, or Bibles, then click the Donate button, give to the “Mexico Missions” fund, then email Missions Pastor, Darryl Vang, at [email protected] and 'cc' Vickie Sevenski at [email protected], what your giving is designated for and we will notify the team.  Also, if you'd like to support a specific team member, email both Darryl Vang and Vickie Sevenski with the name of the team member you would like to support.  We kindly ask that any donation made to this ministry is done outside of your regular giving to the general budget of Temple Church. Giving to missions should not substitute or replace our personal tithe/offering to the local church. Would you consider asking God for guidance in how He may want to you partner with us.

ServiceReef, which is this missions management software, and Stripe, its financial service partner, collect a merchant fee of 1.8% and 2.2% + $0.30 per online donation or payment respectively. Please take these fees into consideration if you choose to give by an online donation. For example, if you were to give a $50.00 donation to a trip’s general fund or to a specific individual going on a trip then $0.90 would be collected by ServiceReef (1.8%) and $1.75 would be collected by Stripe (2.2% + $0.30), or $2.65 total taken out meaning that $47.35 would reach your intended recipient. To avoid any merchant fees you may want to give directly by cash or check, unless donating online with your credit/debit card is your preferred method of giving. Alternatively, using this scenario you could make an online donation of $52.65 to account for the merchant fee so that your recipient receives $50.00.
